Stand Out Features of this Car Seat

Anti-Rebound Bar
There is an anti-rebound bar built into the seat. This is an added safety feature that can reduce the secondary movement of the car seat, called rebound, during a crash. When a crash occurs, the car seat will move forward, towards the front of the vehicle, and rotate downward. And as we all know from high school physics, every action has an equal and opposite reaction — so after that initial movement, the car seat will rebound, or “bounce back” towards the backrest of the vehicle seat. The ARB minimizes this bounce-back effect, helping limit the car seat movement and your child inside it! ARBs may also limit the side-to-side rotation of the car seat in a side-impact collision. Overall, they’re a great feature to have on a rear-facing car seat!
Swivels
This seat swivels in both rear and forward-facing modes. Unlike other swivel seats, it only has one button on the seat, eliminating confusion about how to swivel the seat. You also don't have to change anything about the installation for forward-facing, so it's very easy to switch between the two modes!
Seat is Good for You If:
You want a swivel car seat.
This is one of the least expensive swivel options available, so if you want a swivel seat on a budget, this is one to consider.
You have a petite child.
The maximum limits for both rear and forward-facing are 40 pounds or 43." To put that in perspective, a 50th percentile girl would reach 40 pounds and 43" at 5 years of age. A girl who is in the 95th percentile would reach 40 pounds at 3 and 43" at 4. This means that most kids can use this seat until 3 years of age, and some will last a bit longer. It has a tall harness height, so it's unlikely that kids would outgrow this seat by torso height before reaching the weight or height limit.
You need to fit 3 across.
While this seat is likely to fit in a 3-across situation, you will not be able to use the swivel function. If you only need to fit 3 across sometimes, this could be a good option.
You are a grandparent with young grandchildren.
For grandparents who have multiple grandkids aged 0-3 years old that they take care of from time to time, this could be a great option, as you only have to install it once. The grandparents can swivel it from rear-facing to forward-facing, depending on the child, and simply adjust the headrest setting to fit the child.

Use Caution If:
You have a tall child.
A child who is 97th percentile for height would last until close to 4 years of age in this seat. Once this seat is outgrown, another harnessed seat will be needed by almost all children.
You have a small back seat.
We have this seat pictured in a Hyundai Tucson behind a 5'7" driver. It only just fits, so it's not a very compact option.
Quirks to be Aware of:
Low limits
Unlike most convertible car seats on the market today, this seat has maximum limits of 40 pounds and 43" for both rear and forward-facing. This will not be the last harnessed seat your child needs.
Child Fit Information
Our model is 15 months old. She is almost 19 pounds and 28." She fit in the seat very well. But we did remove the harness covers as they were very bulky.
Installation Information
Airplane Use
The Evenflo Reo has aircraft approval. However, it's not very lightweight, so it would not be our first choice to take on a plane. You can find some better options here.

SITS Bottom Line
This convertible car seat offers several convenient features, including a built-in anti-rebound bar for added safety and a swivel function in both rear and forward-facing modes. At just 17.5” wide, it can fit in some 3-across setups, though the swivel may not work in tight spaces. The one-time installation system makes it especially useful for grandparents or caregivers who transport multiple children. However, its lower limits of 40 pounds and 43” mean it’s best suited for petite children or as a short-term option before moving to another harnessed seat.
