Our Review of the

Joie Basil

More coming soon!

Age

Our recommendation: From 5 years until it's outgrown (average 10-11 years old)

Type

A 2-in-1 booster that has a high back and a backless mode

When

From 5+, but the child must be mature enough to sit properly at all times

Seat is Good for You If:

You want a well-padded booster.

Use Caution If:

You need to fit 3 people in one row of the vehicle.

Your vehicle has non-removable headrests that tilt forward.

Quirks to be Aware of:

Vehicle Headrest Requirements

Joie wants the Basil to have vehicle seat support to at least the top of the child's ears, which will generally mean leaving the vehicle headrest attached to the vehicle seat. However, the vehicle headrest should not push on the booster's headrest.  If your vehicle has forward-tilting headrests, this booster will not be compatible.
