Stand Out Features of this Car Seat

Swivels
The Maxi Cosi Andi 360 swivels 360 degrees without requiring any changes to the installation if you start out with the seat belt and top tether installation. Maxi-Cosi calls this their FlexiSpin technology. We did find it a little more challenging to swivel this seat than others on the market. Caregivers with limited hand strength may find it very challenging.
Magnetic Chest Clip
This magnetic chest clip is easy enough for us adults to buckle and unbuckle. But for a kid, they will struggle to undo it. This is a great thing for toddlers who like to unbuckle.

Anti-Rebound Bar
The Maxi Cosi Andi 360 has an anti-rebound bar (ARB), an added safety feature that can reduce the secondary movement of the car seat, called rebound, during a crash. When a crash occurs, the car seat will move forward, towards the front of the vehicle, and rotate downward. And as we all know from high school physics, every action has an equal and opposite reaction — so after that initial movement, the car seat will rebound, or “bounce back” towards the backrest of the vehicle seat. The ARB minimizes this bounce-back effect, helping limit the car seat movement and your child inside it! ARBs may also limit the side-to-side rotation of the car seat in a side-impact collision. Overall, they’re a great feature to have on a rear-facing car seat!
Seat is Good for You If:
Your child is below the 50th percentile for height.
The highest harness height is only 16." Most seats have 17.5+" harness heights. This means that the Maxi Cosi Andi 360 will be outgrown 12-18 months earlier than most of the other convertible seats on the market. This won't be an issue for kids who have shorter torsos. But taller kids may outgrow the harness mode before they are ready for a booster.

Use Caution if:
You need a compact seat.
This seat is not very compact until the child is 30 pounds. At that point, it is a few inches more compact. We were able to fit this seat in a Hyundai Tucson behind a 5'7" driver when the headrest was on one of the lower settings. But it would not fit when the headrest was fully extended.
You need to fit 3 across.
The Andi 360 is 19" wide. This means that it's not going to fit in most 3-across situations.
Non-removable Harness Covers
The harness covers have two parts. One part is completely unremovable from the harness. The other part is attached via velcro to these non-removable covers. The attachable part is very bulky, and we found the harness fit our young model better when we removed that part.
Car Seat Attached to Base Via Cables
Installing the seat is a very interesting process. The car seat does not completely detach from the base, as it is attached via two thin cables. When installing, you must flip the seat upside down onto an adjacent seat, which is not possible if you have captain's chairs. You'll likely need a helping hand in that situation.

Child Fit Information
Our model is 15 months old. She is on the smaller side at just under 19 pounds and 28." She fit well in the seat, but we liked her fit better with the bulky part of the harness covers removed. Plus, she was able to remove those pieces since they were only velcroed on. She also found a lot of joy in removing and throwing the cupholders, so be aware that they are easy to take out.

SITS Bottom Line
The Maxi-Cosi Andi 360 features FlexiSpin technology, allowing for a smooth 360° swivel without the need to reinstall when using the seat belt and top tether. It includes a magnetic chest clip that’s easy for adults to use but helps prevent toddlers from unbuckling themselves, and an anti-rebound bar that adds extra safety by reducing movement during a crash. The TensionFix indicators clearly show when the installation is secure, giving caregivers added confidence. With a 16" top harness height, it’s a great fit for kids on the smaller side, and while it’s a bit wider than average, it still offers thoughtful design and convenience for many families.
